The Tobacco Free program is designed to assist you in creating your plan to quit tobacco.

Contact the Eagan Center for Wellness to schedule your introductory appointment. 

FIND OUT WHY

( Identify why you want to quit )

  • Have more control over my life

  • Have better smelling clothes, hair, breath, home and car

GATHER YOUR RESOURCES

Your Health Coach will assist you in developing your Tobacco Free quit plan and will connect with you four - six times throughout the year.  Connect with family members, coworkers and others who may want to join or support you on this journey.

REMOVE ALL BARRIERS

Did you know that by participating in the Tobacco Free program you can receive prescription tobacco quit aids with no copay? You can also receive reimbursement for over-the-counter aids like nicotine patches or gum (up to $400 in a calendar year).

You may also participate in up to four hours (paid time) of Tobacco Free education annually

with your manager’s prior approval.

SET YOUR QUIT DATE & COMMIT TO QUIT

 Your Health Coach will assist you in determining your Quit Day.

PRACTICE THE 4 D'S

WHEN A CRAVING HITS

DEEP BREATHS

Take 10 slow, deep

breaths and review
the reasons you
want to quit.

DRINK WATER

Keep a large cup of ice water nearby. Drink water regularly.

 

DO SOMETHING

Stay busy with work  and activities to keep your mind and body engaged.

DELAY

Delay reaching for tobacco for 10
minutes and the craving will subside.
